2. Our products and services
We offer the following, each with its own specific inclusions and pricing as described on the relevant page at time of purchase:
Free resources β€” sector Navigational Guides, the Business Strategy Guidebook, the Weekly Compass newsletter, and Library access
The 5-Day Compass Sprint β€” a paid, self-paced short program
Your Business Compass Online Course β€” a 12-month paid membership including lessons, monthly group coaching, YBC Community access, and the Weekly Compass Member Edition
1:1 Mentoring β€” single sessions, session bundles, and the Set Your Business Compass done-for-you service, delivered by Shelley Cox or a Compass Guide
Alumni Community β€” an optional, recurring monthly or annual membership available to graduates of the Online Course
The Growth Compass Pathway β€” a program delivered to council, chamber, industry body or regional development partners for their local business communities, under a separate Growth Compass Partnership Agreement agreed at the time of engagement.Β

3. Access period and no lifetime access
The Online Course provides 12 months' full access from the date of enrolment, including any content updates released during that period. Access does not continue indefinitely. At the end of 12 months, course access closes unless you join the Alumni Community, which is a separate, ongoing subscription (see Section 6).

We do not offer lifetime access to any product unless explicitly stated in writing for that specific offer.

4. Payment and pricing
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Prices are current at the time of publishing and may change; the price you pay is the price displayed at checkout at the time of your purchase.

Payment plan terms - non-payment consequences are clearly stated if payment plans are offered on any product. Access will be revoked until payment is current again.

5. Alumni CommunityΒ - recurring billing
The Alumni Community is a recurring subscription, billed monthly or annually as selected at sign-up. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

You can cancel at any time via your account settings or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until that date. We do not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a billing period.

6. Refunds and cancellations
Course/program (excluding 5-Day Compass Sprint) refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase and less than 15% of content accessed.

1:1 coaching/mentoring session reschedules require 24 hours' notice, no refunds are offered.

Set Your Business Compass ($2,950): this is not covered, given the bespoke, delivered nature of this service. Each case will be assessed as individual cases.

Alumni: no refund for partial billing periods; cancel anytime for future periods

Nothing in this policy excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded, including your right to a remedy if a service is not provided with due care and skill.

7. Not professional financial, legal, accounting or tax advice
Your Business Compass provides general business education and coaching.

Nothing we provide β€” including course content, Knowledge Boost sessions, mentoring sessions, the Weekly Compass, or any Compass Guide's advice β€” constitutes personal financial, legal, accounting, tax or investment advice.

You should seek advice from an appropriately licensed professional before making significant business, financial or legal decisions.

Compass Guides who deliver mentoring sessions are independent contractors and their advice reflects their own professional judgement and experience; Your Business Compass does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of any individual Compass Guide's advice for your specific circumstances.

8. No guaranteed results
Any testimonials, case studies, or references to business outcomes achieved by past participants are genuine but individual, and do not represent a typical or guaranteed result. We make no guarantee of income, growth, or any specific business outcome from using our products or services.

9. Growth Compass Pathway β€” council and partner data sharing
If you participate in the Online Course as part of a council, chamber, industry body or regional development organisation's sponsored cohort under the Growth Compass Pathway, your program participation and progress data β€” which may include completion status and self-reported confidence scores from the Growth Compass Baseline assessment and in-course Check-Ins β€” will be shared with the sponsoring partner organisation, in aggregate and/or individual form, for the purpose of program reporting and evaluation, as set out in the specific consent obtained at enrolment and in the applicable Growth Compass Partnership Agreement. See our Privacy Policy for further detail.

10. Community guidelines
Access to the YBC Community is a privilege, not a right, and is provided to support members' genuine business growth.

We reserve the right to remove any content or restrict access for any member who posts content that is abusive, promotional spam, unlawful, or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of a supportive business community, at our sole discretion. Contributions you make to the Community (comments, posts) may be used and adapted by us for the benefit of the wider community.

11. Intellectual property
All course content, templates, worksheets, Trackers, badges, guides and other materials provided through Your Business Compass remain our intellectual property, for your personal use only.

Do not reproduce, distribute, resell or modify our content without prior written consent, or use it to train, build or resell a competing product or service.

12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our products or services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits or business opportunity. We strive for accurate and valuable content but are not responsible for the outcomes of your business decisions; you use our resources and attend sessions at your own discretion.
