As the owner and operator of For Abel Photography, Lydia specialises in capturing the real moments and authentic stories of people's lives and businesses through lifestyle, family, and luxe photography.

With 14 years of industry experience, Lydia brings a natural light, candid style to her photography, emphasising real people and real stories. Her work is recognised for its authenticity and her ability to capture the spirit of a moment. Lydia's candid style has led her to work with renowned projects like the Australian Breastfeeding Project, and she is the recipient of various accolades, including the Seven Effect “Body” award and nominations for the SA Regional Awards.
A Passion Rooted in Place and Family
Lydia's passion for photography began in high school and was further ignited by the beautiful landscapes surrounding her family farm in the Barossa Valley, where she lives with her husband and three children. Her transition from capturing landscapes to people came with the birth of her first child, adding depth to her storytelling technique.
